The Schola Cantorum of The London Oratory School will be singing at a Lenten Service at Farm Street Church on Tuesday 8 April at 7pm. The service has been arranged by Aid to the Church in Need and will focus on the suffering of persecuted Christians in Syria during this period of Lent. Music will include motets by Byrd and Lotti as well as the Miserere by Allegri. There will be talks given by Lord Alton and by ACN’s John Pontifex. The service, which concludes with Benediction, will last approximately one hour and will be followed by refreshments in the Church Hall. There will be a retiring collection towards Aid to the Church in Need’s work in Syria.
