Young Palestinian Musicians performing in London
Four young musicians from Palestine will be performing at the Mosaic Rooms in Earls Court, London on Wednesday 22 August at 7pm.
Their visit to the UK has been made possible by the Choir of London’s Bursary Scheme in partnership with the British Council. Ever since its first tour to Palestine in 2004, the Choir of London has been engaged in important work supporting Music Schools and young musicians in the West Bank. Violist Marina Eichberg (18) from Bethlehem, violinist Naji Alali Esrawee (14) from Jenin, violinist Sama Tarazi (15) from Jerusalem, and pianist Sasha Khoury (16) from Ramallah will spend a week living and working with young British musicians on orchestral and chamber music courses throughout the UK before coming together for four days in London, participating in workshops, rehearsals and classes at the Royal Academy of Music, attending a Prom concert and seeing London from the London Eye.
Their visit will culminate with an informal concert at the Mosaic Rooms, the full details of which are available here. To reserve free tickets please email rsvp@choiroflondon.org.
