The London Oratory is advertising an Organ Scholarship for the year 2013-14. This is a superb opportunity for a candidate seeking experience of the Oratory’s musical tradition. See below for more details.

The London Oratory Organ Scholarship 2013-14

The London Oratory is famous for its rich organ and choral culture in the service of the classic traditions of Roman Catholic liturgy. It has three choirs and a music staff of four (including organ scholar).

This scholarship, for one year from September 2013, but extendable to two, is designed for a student who is on, or has just completed a postgraduate course, though an outstanding undergraduate may also be considered. Open to Catholics and non-Catholics.

Superb practice facilities: 1954 Walker/Downes (45 stops), 1975/2005 Flentrop (16 stops) and a 3-stop chamber organ by Peter Collins

Value: £5,500 p.a. plus generous additional funds for educational development.
